I gotta keep practicing! gotta keep warm!
I keep thinking about the difference between landing a trick in practice and landing on the Olympic stage (in the context of ice skating, skateboarding, and gymnastics and dance competitions too).
I wanna be able to play my songs all the way through so consistently and so confidently that I am ready to perform at any moment. I want to be prepared for when opportunity strikes. it’s so lame to be like wait a min, lemme pull up the sheet music
it’s so much more fun practicing my own songs. that classical piano upbringing and being an accountant has given me the power to find the fun in the mundane. practicing is just like Maplestory exp farming
I wanna be intentional with practice tho, spend most of the time strengthening my weak points. a majority of my practice time should sound a little bad
